Jennifer Yu is a first-year at Northeastern Univeristy studying Political Science. Originally from Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Jennifer is a staff-writer to the Northeastern University Undergraduate Law Review. Her note, On Matters of State Courts Preserving Electoral Justice, argues for the increased participation of state courts as key adjudicators in matters of unfair electoral districting practices to protect minority voter rights.

Jennifer’s legal interests lie at the intersection of constitutional law and the protection of minority rights. She is a member of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Massachusetts Action Team. On campus, Jennifer is also involved with the Northeastern Center for the Digital Humanities where she studies the political economy of colonial Jamaica as an undergraduate research assistant to the Early Caribbean Digital Archive.

In her free time, she enjoys visiting museums, hiking, and street photography.
